About Oppositional Defiant Disorder
All children can be argumentative and stubborn at times, especially if they are stressed or tired. However, children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) are so openly hostile, uncooperative and irritable that their home life, school life, and peer relationships are seriously negatively affected. Most of the defiant behaviour they display is directed towards people in authority over them but can also be directed at their siblings, playmates, or peers at school.
