“How do you know who’s got the right answer and who’s got the wrong answer? Everybody says something different.”

This quote from a mother typifies the frustration many parents and others feel when it comes to navigating the research maze around children’s mental health information.

Hardly a week goes by without a new study being published and reported on in the media.  Many of these studies claim findings that conflict with those reported in earlier studies.

How does one make sense of it all?

Our What’s New? section helps you separate the wheat from the chaff.  We examine the findings from new and recent studies, determine whether the information is sound (or not), and tell you how it fits with current evidence in the field.

Click on the headings below to find out whether what you’re reading and hearing is backed by real scientific evidence.
